Here it is folks, a little something to lighten your mood and clear the air. Are you getting tired of the media hype about Swine Flu? I am, and a little suspicious too. Not to trivialize things, but 36,000 people die every year from regular flu and I know 100 people are dead in Mexico and the thing is spreading but CNN and Fox are carrying on like it's the Black Death.
Let's chill out and take things as they come. Remember the bird flu a couple of years ago? Remember that blizzard last winter that turned out to only be a dusting of snow? It could happen again and I fervently hope it does.
Without further ado, I present to you. Swine Flu The Musical

Yeah! *cough* Chill *cough* out *cough cough*
Seriously, if I get sick, I'll be the first to apologize. Until then, everybody needs to relax.
yup--hysteria does not help--just sells advertising:-)
Well, it is better to talk about it than ignore it. Some reporters are trying to tell people that it is nothing to panic about.
I'm certainly not aevocating ignoring it-- it is potentially very serious, but I think sensationalizing it doesn't help at all and that is what is happening.
I agree that we should talk about it but let's not get so hysterical. I've been hearing worst case scenarios and conspiracy theories that would curl your toes:-)
At last - a song that uses the words "pre-existing conditions"!!
As a bonafide member of the evil media, let me assure you that we don't know any more than you do.
It's the flu. It's not the plague. People do die from the flu - but if they take care of themselves they usually don't.
That's it.
Now everybody sing along...
Thanks for weighing in Susan--always good to hear from you:-) and Of course, I agree totally.
Where have I been... swine flu... seriously?!? OK, maybe I heard something about it... well, for starters maybe they could've thought up a better name for it. Swine flu, not very sexy.
Love the video!
