Downton Abbey Musical Parody Camps it Up on YouTube

If you, like me, are a devoted Downtonista  waiting with baited breath for Season 4 to begin airing on this side of the Atlantic, take heart.  A wonderful  Musical Parody and Season 4 sneak peek  surfaced a couple of weeks ago on YouTube and is here to save the day.

Not only is it absolutely hilarious, it makes a true Downton Abby addict like me go into DT's (that's Downton Tremens to  you social Downton Abby watchers).  I'm still laughing and the laughing makes the waiting till January for season 4 just a bit easier to bear ( pass the kleenex please)

 Colin Andrew Mochrie, of Whose LIne Is It Anyway? fame, is brilliant as Downton writer and  creator, Julian Fellowes. He serves as a sort of narrator, holding the musical numbers together.  My fave is a duet about tea and teabags sung by Carson and Mrs Hughes.  I won't spoil your fun.  Check out Vanity Fair's fabulous review and then watch the video.

The Pranks of Remi Gaillard

Remi Gaillard is a Frenchman who has been pulling pranks ever since he lost his job in a shoe store some years ago.  He's also documenting the pranks and uploading the videos to YouTube.  In fact, he has become world famous for his YouTube videos and having watched one, I can see why. Where have I been that I missed this guy?  He's fabulous.

 Lucky for him and for us that he lost that shoe store job. The video below is just a sample of the kinds of pranks he pulls.  Check out his complete body of work on his website

New Hubble Pix from Deep Space

The Hubble Telescope just keeps chugging along through deep space, sending back amazing "postcards" in the form of vibrant, visual images. Take a few minutes to look at the video below. I don't have words, but then I don't think any are necessary.

The pictures are amazing and really bring one to a realization of how grand the universe is and what a tiny piece of it each of us really is. Very humbling and good for the soul, I think.

Rollerskating Babies Go Viral on YouTube

The rollerskating babies are the newest big thing on YouTube-- over five million views in less than a week and the frenzy is just beginning. If you haven't seen it yet, have a look.

It's very clever, but honestly it kinda creeps me out-- sort of the way the dancing baby did in the nineties. It sure doesn't make me want to buy Evian mineral water, which is the point of the whole thing. Skate on babies. I think I'll stick with Perrier:-)
