Happy New Year from Jib Jab and Me

Thanks all,  for sharing 2009 with me and for stopping by pinkpackrat's place and taking time to read and comment here..... it has really made my year. I've become addicted to blogging and tweeting, and stumbling and digging this year and I've met so many wonderful people from everywhere in the world and discovered so much energy and creativity along with great writing that I'm sure I will be even more addicted next year.  You guys rock-- you really do.

May 2010 bring happiness and prosperity to one and all and may we all have an even better blogging year.  But first, it's time to look back on 2009 -- the year that was.

So Long Santa

Another Christmas has come and gone-- gifts bought and opened, family feted , body and soul sated. The carols have been sung and words of peace exchanged .Now it's time to pack it in and get back to the day to day, dog- eat- dog, grind.

Christmas Lights Gone Wild

Christmas is a time to re-affirm light and life and some folks go all the way. I love this video --talk about Christmas lights gone wild.... I also think it is quite a generous gift, as these people  must have some January electric bill, but then their sound and light show brings pleasure to a lot of people through the power of the internet.  I wonder how their neighbors feel about it:-)

I know I didn't get everybody by twitter name--there were so many and all sooooo good in one way or another, I just finally stopped cutting and pasting.  I can only say that this video was just a blast to watch and knocked any hint of Christmas crazies right out of me.  The good cheer just oozes out of it and it is so much fun to put  faces to the twitter names you know and follow.

A Warning About Pets Dressed as Santa

I know you love your pet and I know it's Christmas, but honestly, Fido doesn't like wearing a Santa hat and Butch  looks dumb in antlers.  Don't do it-- and since one picture is worth a thousand words-- here's why.

these guys are feeling pretty stupid in those antlers. I can tell, can't you?

So, give the dog a bone and the cat some catnip and the bunny an extra carrot for Christmas and  wear the Santa hat yourself or let your kids dress up as Santa-- kids look cute in Santa hats and they usually love wearing them.

You Gotta Love Those Muppets

and one of my all-time, personal faves, is Animal,  Well, actually, it's kind of a tie between him and Miss Piggy.  But, never mind.

I came across this while cruising YouTube tonight.  It's an oldie but goodie and it is hilarious.  Even if you've already seen it, it'll make you laugh. Rita Moreno really gets Animal going.
